| Long
Grove , Illinois . . . The Transportation Division of TZA
Consulting, a leader in helping companies optimize their
transportation operations, is offering companies free transportation
strategy assessments. These reviews will help the companies
better understand the state of their current transportation
operations and provide a solid basis for future strategies
to make them more efficient and productive. |
| |
“Companies cannot control the rising cost
of fuel,” points out Paul Schweet, TZA Senior Vice
President. “But they can control other factors
that have an equally critical impact on transportation
costs. These assessments enable us to exercise our years
of transportation operations expertise to help companies
identify those factors and utilize their assets more
effectively.” |
| |
TZA transportation specialists will begin by assessing
a company’s current inbound activities, including
freight terms, carrier costs, backhaul allowances and
opportunities for consolidation. They will also evaluate
outbound operations, investigating scheduling and routing,
loading methods, resource utilization, equipment and
personnel, carrier costs, fleet status, driver productivity
and pay/incentive programs. |
| |
Finally, they will examine existing transportation
support systems and the key performance indicators that
are used to measure the performance of the transportation
operation. |
| |
The outcome of each assessment will
be a written document summarizing TZA’s assessment
of the company’s
operational transportation practices, accompanied by
recommendations for improvement. Estimated cost savings
will be stated for each recommendation.
|
| |
Companies wishing to take advantage of this opportunity
should contact Paul Schweet, Senior Vice President, at
847-540-6543 or at pschweet@tzaconsulting.com. |
