JOB TITLE: SENIOR CONSULTANT-LOGISTICS CONSULTING

 

SUMMARY:  

We are seeking a Senior Consultant experienced in distribution operations.  You will find creative solutions ranging from concept work through implementation for various types of projects within the client environment. You will have the opportunity to work in both team and individual settings with high levels of responsibility and client interaction.  We are focused on driving exceptional results while delivering world class client satisfaction. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Designing and modifying existing warehouse layouts
  • Performing distribution network modeling and capacity plans
  • Performing analytical modeling to determine best technologies
  • Performing analytical modeling to determine best operational practices/methodologies
  • Determining ROI for alternative methods & layouts
  • Collaborating with client and internal teams to find best solutions
  • Reviewing/optimizing client distribution software (WMS, LMS, TMS, etc)
  • Utilizing software to perform slotting and/or network design projects
  • Performing Distribution Center audits to determine improved processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution Management, Operations Management or similar
  • At least three to seven years experience in Distribution Center layout, design, equipment specification, productivity improvement, or implementation
  • Experience in distribution Best Practices identification and evaluation
  • Familiarity with various conveyor manufacturers, system integrators, etc. is a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCad, Access, Excel, and the Microsoft Office suite is required
  • Familiarity with LogicTools/LogicNet or other strategic planning tools is preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Consulting experience a plus
  • Able to travel up to 30%
